Recently, U.S. President George W. Bush addressed your august assembly. Despite obtaining his office by what appeared to be a fraudulent coup and stealing the electoral votes of the state of Florida where his brother Jeb is governor, he did make one impressive point: “Our principles and our security are challenged today by outlaw groups and regimes that accept no law of morality and have no limit to their violent ambitions.”
The UN needs to realize that Bush’s statement is a Freudian slip – a self-confession about the real terrorist network that surrounds him in Washington, D.C.
On December 20, 1983, once and future Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld traveled to Iraq to extend his hand of friendship to Saddam Hussein. Rumsfeld, then a private citizen was acting as a liaison for the Reagan-Bush administration. As we say in U.S. politics, they knew Saddam was a son-of-a-bitch, but we wanted him “as our son-of-a-bitch.” You know the history here – Somoza, Pappa Doc Duvalier, the Shah of Iran, Marcos, Franco. These are just a few of a long list of fascists and thugs employed by the U.S. to do its imperialist bidding.
Saddam was viewed as just another pawn to settle scores with the Iranian people who had rightfully overthrown that brutal dictator, the Shah. Just last week, Senator Robert Byrd released documents showing that the U.S. sent biological weapons to their then-friend Saddam throughout the 1980s. This includes anthrax and West Nile virus, among other nasty pathogens.
Also, the U.S.’s trusted British allies sent Saddam anthrax through its lab Porten Down. Never to be left far behind, it is well-documented from the Gulf War that the Germans chipped in with helping to build facilities that could produce chemical weapons for Iraq. Much of this was recently reported in that radical publication Newsweek.
Moreover, President Bush had well-established ties to the former Al Qaeda bank of choice, the now-defunct BCCI, the Bank of Credit and Commerce International. You might want to consult the Wall Street Journal that revealed the connections between the BCCI drugs, arms and terrorist network and Bush’s Harken Oil.
Bush’s current obsession with Saddam Hussein may be to throw us off the trail of his and his father’s old buddy Osama bin Laden. As the BBC reported earlier this year, a secret FBI document, numbered 1991 WF213589, from its Washington field office, shows how President Bush removed FBI agents from the bin Laden family trail while the Al Qaeda terrorist network were planning their attacks on the World Trade Center.
The UN needs to look at the strange relationship between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the United States. Instead of focusing on whether or not someone from Iraq met once with someone in Al Qaeda, why not look at the obvious? Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were Saudis. One of the masterminds behind the attack, Mohammed Atta, was working for the CIA’s ally, the Pakistan Intelligence Service (ISI). More obviously, this terrorist network and the whole “jihaddi” ideology was manufactured by U.S. intelligence, paid for by the Saudis and trained recruits in Pakistan’s Madressas.
While you’re at it, the Security Council might want to delve into the small private company where George Bush the Elder now works, the Carlyle Corporation, that appears to be reaping huge profits from the U.S. military buildup. Instead of worrying whether or not Saddam Hussein is trying to develop a bomb, the Security Council should rather focus on Pakistan, which has developed a nuclear device and recently threatened to use it against India. As Pulitzer Prize winner, writer Seymour Hersh, detailed earlier this year in the New Yorker, the United States Special Forces in Afghanistan evacuated Al Qaeda and Pakistani ISI forces to Kashmir. Terrorist activity soon followed, bringing the world to the brink of nuclear exchange between Pakistan and India.
I would also just like to reiterate that the Bush administration is proud of its imperialist plans to dominate the globe and publishes its intentions online. You might want to start with Joint Vision for 2020 which calls for “full spectrum dominance” using space weapons. Also, I recommend an Air Force research paper “Weather as a force multiplier: Owning the weather in 2025.” And before I forget, an April 1996 Air Force research paper “Alternative futures for 2025: Security planning to avoid surprise” points out in a scenario called Gulliver’s Travails how a terrorist attack in the early 21st century would make it possible to galvanize the U.S. people into getting behind Bush’s dream of a new Roman empire.
Oh, I forgot. You already know how important that terrorist attack was to the madmen in Washington. Brzezinski outlined the significance of such an event in his 1997 book The Grand Chessboard. Unless the UN acts now to stop Bush’s smiley-faced fascism, we’ll have another Hitler on our hands.
